He recorded some songs in Australia with Glenn Sarangapany from Birds Of Tokyo and in America with Matt Noveskey of Blue October. Rapal on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal “..Beautiful, melodic songs that transport you away from life’s worries and totally captivate you” The Scotsman “..a mix of super-catchy anthems, expertly penned ballads with beautiful boy/girl harmonies, and it could well see him get the attention he deserves…”

The local singer/songwriter will be entertaining the decerning crowd of the Market Bar on Friday – a perfect way to kick off the Hogmanay weekend in Inverness.

The Dazed Digital Age + LOWT (Louis Buick) and Household.

After releasing both Symon and Fragmented in Time in 2023 The Dazed Digital Age are ending the year with a massive get-together at one of the most up-and-coming venues of Inverness- Upstairs.

Louis Buick is gaining followers as his live show airs on BBC Introducing on BBC Radio Scotland. Household, local pioneers of the Inverness dance music scene, play regularly weekly in both Upstairs and the Victorian Market, bringing some of the biggest names to the venue.

With musical connections to the likes of Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin and Radiohead, The Dazed Digital Age continue to bring raw emotion to their work, but it cannot be understated that their work in 2023 is by far their most immediate, danceable, and pure damn singable tracks to date.

Karawane Festive Takeover

Eden Court Theatre

YES! Almost exactly a year since the first Takeover, Karawane are now returning to Eden Court for a festive blowout!

Karawane are getting back to the roots of the club night with a broader set of world music alongside the dance floor afrobeat and brassy salsa. The Karawane DJs are also throwing in some festive funk, hip hop and feel-good basslines – and they’re bringing friends!

Professional salsa dancers Katy Derry and William Hillman will be lively-ing up the crowd; Nat and Kirsty will move alongside you on latin percussion; and JimmyHenryCarol and Kenny will be beating the Karawane drums to keep things deep.

And on the mic? You’ll be the very first to hear Ecuadorian singer Coca Tenorio sing her brand new release, produced by Karawane. And when things get a little faster, expect bars from none other than MC Butterscotch.

This is a one-of-a-kind experience in Inverness and not to be missed! Tickets are available here

Hogmanay – Sunday 31st December

The Red Hot Highland Fling

Hogmanay is all about tradition and bringing people together. That is exactly what our Inverness celebrations are all about. The event is going back to the traditional ceilidh where the dances are mixed with guest singers and musicians and we come together to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next.

Before the main event, there will be a free parade through the town centre ending at Northern Meeting Park.

In a change to previous years, the event will be more about participating than just listening to bands. People are really encouraged to engage with what Hogmanay is all about. One of Scotland’s Finest Ceilidh bands, Highland Fire who include local lads Calum MacPhail and Sean Cousins from the band Horo, will keep the dancers moving. Then in those moments when a rest is required the absolute best from Scotland’s traditional music scene will keep the party going.

Skipinnish’s very own Norrie MacIver will be joining for some songs in both English and Gaelic. They’ll also have the three-time winner of the Scots Trad Music Award and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Siobhan Miller to lead us up to the bells. Instrumental fireworks will be provided by multi-award-winning duo Ali Hutton and Ross Ainslie who were the driving force behind The Treacherous Orchestra. They’ll be joined by Ewan Robertson from current winners of the “Scots Folk Band of the year” Breabach.

Tickets for the main event are £12.50 and can be bought here
